Abstract

The planning, design, testing, construction, and flight of a small booster rocket used to carry and deploy a drone or rover to at least 100 meters and return back to the ground safe enough to launch again all within the span of 17 weeks.

Project Details

Within a 1250 dollar budget and in compliance to NAR/FAA guidelines, flight must reach 100 meters, house and eject a payload created by another team, and be able to be launched again.

Project Objective 

Develop, build, test, and refine a reusable rocket and launch platform in 17 weeks using off-the-shelf components, all for an expense of no more than $1250. The system should be capable of transporting both a drone and a rover.

Mission Needs

Create, construct, and test a reusable rocket that can carry a cargo up to 100 meters at a minimum and can be recovered and launched off again in an hour.
